Burning Faith

Marcus Cumberlege

It may be, dear Ilona,
Very special dharma friend,
That we shall earn some respite
When this life comes to its end.

Who knows if these simple words,
Formed in a believing heart,
May capture that burning faith
We shared from the very start.

The day ahead, my dear one,
Is all in Amida’s mind -
So why not let HIM suggest
Solutions we cannot find.
