Namuamidabutsu
     You have departed
          embraced in the Buddha’s arms.

Amida’s great compassion and sincerity
     penetrated your body;

I cannot remember your brilliant face
     at the deathbed
            without tears in my eyes.

You have gone leaving this message:
     Listen to the Buddha’s teaching
            with an innocent heart
     And come to the Pure Land.
