7 Editor De Simpele Weg

Geleidelijk aan waren een aantal van de cursussen rijp voor de officiële boekenmarkt. Daarom startte Shitoku op 20 april 1991 een zuster-vzw De Simpele Weg. We lezen in de oprichtingsstatuten:
Art. 2. De vereniging heeft tot doel het publiceren, verspreiden en verdelen, hetzij gratis hetzij mits vergoeding, van brochures, boeken, drukwerken en prenten van sociale, culturele, religieuze en levensbeschouwelijke aard.

Gradually, some of the courses became ready for the official book markets. That’s why Shitoku - on April 20th, 1991 - started with a sister association De Simpele Weg (The Simple Way). We read in the founding articles:
Art. 2. The association has as its objectives the publication, spreading and distribution (free or for a fee) of brochures, books, printed matter or prints of social, cultural, religious or philosophical matters.

Door de ruimere opzet ervan kon Shitoku ook andere talenten en zelfs buitenlandse auteurs aan bod laten komen (zien onderstaand lijstje). Uit het publicatiefonds blijkt nochtans het hoofdaccent te liggen op directe ondersteuning van het Centrum.

Thanks to those broader objectives, Shitoku could engage other talents and even foreign authors (see the list below). Nevertheless, the publisher’s list proves the main accent would be a direct support of the Center for Shin-Buddhism.

Helaas echter zijn de activiteiten van de uitgeverij sinds 05/11/2005 opgeschort. Bij uitputting van de voorraden voorzien we het materiaal via publicatie op onze website beschikbaar te stellen voor iedereen.

Unfortunately, on 11/05/2005 the activities of the Editor have been suppressed. At the end of the stocks, we plan to make more of the material available to the general public, via publication at our website.
